Get to Know Kylie Starkman
Kylie is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their therapeutic journey. She believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, authentic, and tailored to each individual’s unique experiences and goals.
Her approach to care is guided by curiosity, compassion, and a genuine belief in each person’s capacity for growth. Kylie works from a client-centered perspective, following each client’s lead while drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities and theoretical frameworks, including attachment theory, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Adlerian Psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based practices. Together, she and her clients identify meaningful goals and develop a therapeutic approach that best supports their needs, strengths, and circumstances.
A central focus of Kylie’s work is helping clients recognize and build upon their existing strengths while developing awareness of the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping them feeling stuck. Through compassionate exploration and reflection, she supports clients in gaining deeper self-understanding, fostering emotional growth, and cultivating more authentic and fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
Client Focus
I offer individual therapy for youth (14+) and adults, providing a warm, collaborative, and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to help you feel understood, respected, and safe as we work together toward meaningful change.
