Get to know Michael Szendrei

Michael believes that healing happens through connection with a genuinely empathetic and non-judgemental person, and the courage to confront the fear and pain together. Not only is this his personal philosophy to caring, it is his purpose and promise to those that entrust him with their stories. What makes Michael’s work meaningful is the connection he makes with others, the honour of being chosen to help, and helping others through their own means get to the other side of their struggle. When choosing to work with Michael, his approach is collaboration, working with you as an equal partner to bring greater awareness and facilitate positive change in your life.

Client Focus

I primarily work with adolescents, adults, and older adults. I work from a person-centered, mindfulness perspective. Methods I use can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic Psychotherapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Strength-Based Therapy (SBT). In all cases, I aim to tailor any methods used to your needs to create a supportive and non-judgemental environment. From there, making progress is a matter of reconciling what we all possess inside to move ourselves forward, and growing from within.
