Mirelle is a Registered Social Worker and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Mirelle received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2018 and has experience working with people of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Mirelle works from an eclectic model drawing from techniques based in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. Working from a person centerer approach, Mirelle will assist with identifying strengths, overcoming barriers and developing a treatment plan that is personalised for you.
Curiosity, understanding and education are key tools in Mirelle’s practice. Through supportive, empathetic conversation, we will explore your reasoning for attending sessions. Mirelle uses evidence-based practices to help clients understand psychosomatic symptoms, and practical approaches are used to discover personalised tools and coping mechanisms.
If you feel like you are encountering barriers, and finding it increasing difficult to manage, it could be a sign to seeks supports. Understanding how stress and symptoms of declining mental health appear, and in turn impact different areas of your life is the first step in learning how to make a shift. Together, we will practice skills to help with emotion regulation while navigating through life challenges.

Client Focus
Mirelle works with client’s who are 16 and over. Mirelle takes a practical approach in sessions, helping clients better understand how physical and psychological symptoms appear in day-to-day life. Tangible coping tools will be explored in order to improve overall mental health.
