Victoria Pacitti

I am a registered psychotherapist and social worker, and work with children, adults, and couples. My philosophy is to see your experience as unique, to hear and see you for where you are, and to help you work towards the change in which you desire. Effective therapy occurs when a safe therapeutic relationship is present, allowing you to feel comfortable in processing difficult emotions, thoughts, and circumstances. I provide an empathetic, non-judgemental space to assist you in confronting these difficulties, tackle anxieties, discover your strengths, learn self-compassion and develop self-trust so you can create the life you want. Healing is more than just learning tools and strategies and often lies in connection.

Client Focus

Victoria’s philosophy is to see each client and their experiences as unique. She works collaboratively with clients to untangle the intricate web of conscious and unconscious thought patterns, feelings, and experiences that may be preventing them from reaching their full potential. Her approach is rooted in her own lived experiences with anxiety, depression, and disordered eating, which inspired her to enter the field of social work and therapy.

Experience

With over 8 years of experience in the field of mental health, I have been successful in helping individuals recognize their own strengths and capabilities, and assisting them in utilizing these to work towards positive change. I have expertise in a range of therapeutic modalities and training in depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, trauma, anger, stress management, relationship hardships or breakdown, grief, self-esteem and many more. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

More than just my work

My personal journey through my own mental health challenges in my earlier years has deeply influenced my therapeutic approach. I entered the field as a therapist based on my lived experience of anxiety, depression and disordered eating. I received years of therapy myself – recognizing my capabilities, working towards my goals, and realizing that hope and strength can be present in the midst of hard-ship, changed my life. I can help you organize your thoughts and feelings, learn coping strategies, further your understanding of who you are, and experience a sense of direction.
